I saw exactly same thing on saturday (16.10.2010) over the Offerton area of Stockport. Only difference was the lights were four in a row, but definately not planes as a plane had flown over moments earlier and its flashing lights were visable. These were solid orange lights.

NR
I'm trying to get back to our Local news site that published footage of similar lights. But get this, the website seems be not working. :S
check back, maybe it will be up again soon.

http://www.ktsm.com/mysterious-lights-over-east-el-paso?ref=nf
never mind before, I found it on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/v/rEtTl9cGrJc?fs=1&amp
This is again, very similar to the patterns in NY and El Paso...
I'm sure a mate of mine saw something like this on the 17th too but near Ipswich
Not the first time I had seen a triangle in the sky like this, but the first lights I saw were red, and lasted stationary for hours till they all moved off in opposite directions out of site. I would put this at about 8 years ago, and it was visible by the west side of El Paso, Texas.
Like first anonymous, I too saw the four red orange lights in a row. At first I thought they were spots before my eyes, but after focusing on them for around 10 seconds they were still there. One took off and left three in a curved formation. Then as if the clouds were a vacuum, after what seemed a minute, they were swooped up one by one. This was approx 9:05 PST east county San Diego.
on 25th Oct 2010 Monday, Me and my friend were smoking near my bedroom window when I spotted the same kind of light (to bright to be a plane) Initially there was 1 light and then there were 2 of them. Saw them for 2 couple of minutes and then they just vanished. This happened over north London. It was pretty cool.
I live in baltimore maryland and i saw exactly what that triangle looked like at the end of the video. The F?
Today at 10:30 P.M. i was closing my curtains when i noticed 4 mysterious dots in the sky. I first thought they were stars but then they began to move in a circular pattern. Then i supposed it was a plane... but it had no wing lights and it was just a bright light. They eventually disapeard, one by one.It was exactly what i saw on the Video!!
