Some fancy dancy camera he's got, to get such great close ups. He doesn't sound too excited either.
looks like a plane with sun glinting off its wings. the "separation" you mention doesn't seem to be one at all, only the plane shifting around in the air with sunlight hitting the wings at certain moments. your close-ups are great and that's what it looks like to this viewer.

I think he is trying in his mind to identify the object in some earthly way, he says it can be some sort of drone. I happened to to see something strange that same day in the early hours (from 7 to 8:30) It looked like a star (it's the second time I see the same thing- it was back in 2010 and exactly at the same place).
