Airplane on approach to a local airport - nothing odd about that. See it in Boston all the time.
oh yes, that was something all right. look at all the planes/helicopters checking it out. one helicopter with a flashing light to the right of the object is even hovering in place, checking it out. any news updates about this sighting?
It's a plane headed straight toward the photographer's position, if you've ever seen the headlights of a plane coming straight at you it looks very, very bright and looks like it's not moving. There's obvously an airport nearby with all the air traffic and that's where this plane is probably approaching to land.
