New UFO Files Released by Britain’s Ministry of Defense – June 21, 2013

On June 21, 2013, Britain’s Ministry of Defense disclosed a new batch of UFO files for sightings which occurred between 2007-2009. The MOD closed it’s UFO division in 2009, so this will be the final release of such files from Britain.

Britain has announced that it closed its UFO desk in 2009 because it served no defence purpose.The hotline dealt with sightings across the country and the last batch of ‘X Files’ issued shows a rise in UFO reports.

The Last Batch Of Britain’s UFO Files Finally Revealed

The formerly secret files of the U.K. government related to investigations on UFOs and extra-terrestrials have been released recently and the final batch is finally here. The last batch suggests that extra-terrestrial hunting hindered more valuable activities on defence.

In 2009, the Ministry of Defence stopped its effort to investigate the presence of extra-terrestrials and related activities by closing UFO desk and hotline, which was the number to contact to warn the government about UFO sighting, alien abduction or any kind of close encounters. The government revealed that the hunt for extra-terrestrials was taking away more important defence-related activities.

The government spent years of gathering close encounter reports from ordinary citizens including a claim from a person about living with a being from other planets or dimensions. However, Carl Mantell of the RAF’s Air Command said that no UFO sighting reported has appeared to be a threat to the country for over 50 years of investigating.

The memo pointed out that no defence benefit received from gathering information and investigation of the sightings. So, the government diverted the resources used to fund alien hunt to more important activities for defence.

The latest files reveal reports between 2007 and 2009 including a letter to the Ministry of Defence from a student child asking information about UFOs after she had spotted some mysterious lights, a report from someone through UFO hotline about living with an alien, and UFO sightings above Stonehenge, Houses of Parliament and Blackpool Pier. The files also contain letters from ufologists urging the government to conduct further investigations on UFO sightings.
