There are sightings like this all over the world on a daily basis and I think they are aliens from another planet that have been visiting us for hundreds of years.
I've seen lots of strange lights at night, but would not jump to the conclusion that they are extraterrestrial. Now if I had seen them in the daylight or metallic looking craft close up, then I would think differently.
i think it is a mother ship finding a place to land in the near future they are coming back so prepare yourselfs

You know those Chinese lanterns that you DON'T see for sale everywhere you go? It's probably a bunch of those because they're so easy to get.
I saw a large white ball of light on the same night while at my grandmother's house in Dittmer, MO. I suspect it was over St. Claire. Anyway, it was in the NW area from Dittmer. It was moving too slow to be a meteor and too fast to be a star. It moved in a straight vertical descent at a steady speed. If you were to hold out your index finger upward near view of it, it would move
If it was going in a straight line and a steady speed I would say it's a satellite, maybe even the space station. Satellites are visible every clear night if you look long enough. The space station is very bright also, I've seen it myself. If you do a search online there are websites that show where it was at any particular time, I would suggest looking it up and seeing if the station was
