Bright light that looks like a beacon was photographed on Mars by Curiosity rover recently.

What do you think this is??
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Justin Maki explained what NASA thinks is behind the mysterious light:

Bright spots appear in single images taken by the Navigation Camera on NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover on April 2 and April 3. Each is in an image taken by this stereo camera’s right-eye camera, but not in images taken within a second of each of those by the left-eye camera.
In the two right-eye images, the spot is in different locations of the image frame and, in both cases, at the ground surface level in front of a crater rim on the horizon. One possibility is that the light is the glint from a rock surface reflecting the sun. When these images were taken each day, the sun was in the same direction as the bright spot, west-northwest from the rover, and relatively low in the sky. The rover science team is also looking at the possibility that the bright spots could be sunlight reaching the camera’s CCD directly through a vent hole in the camera housing, which has happened previously on other cameras on Curiosity and other Mars rovers when the geometry of the incoming sunlight relative to the camera is precisely aligned. We think it’s either a vent-hole light leak or a glinty rock.

google earth can show a Weber kettle bbq in my backyard in Durham, NC but the images from mars are NOT hi-res?
Possible new Chick-Fil-A site.
Folks there's more to Mars than meets the eye in o'l Freds opinion. You think them fellas are gonna give us the real low down on them Martian anomalies,Faces, Pyramids, etc ? It's like a wise fella used to say, fool me once shame you, fool me twice sham on me.
They think it's either a vent-hole light leak or a glinty rock. Ok, well I think it's a light shining up from the ground, so we're even. There's another picture I've seen of this light from a different angle, but it's in the same place, I'm not going to get fooled by their ridiculous explanations.
It does appear to be a light shinning upward, but being an Astronomy student, it also seems to be a gyser of some kind. I've seen photos of some moons gushing Ice crystals like a volcano. Very similar. A geological episode would seem more likely than an "Alien Base"... Why is it always a base...Geez People!
You don't suppose Curiosity Rover got a little carried away drilling for water up there do ya ? You know them fellas is sniffing around for H20 up there like an o'l hound dog look'in for a bone.
