It's funny really. We can send probes to Mars and get back high def pictures that let you count the tiny specs of rock. Yet here on earth we can only get back fuzzy and out of focus lights in the sky at NIGHT that could be anything.
Afterburners on a Military jet.
Those lights are aircraft making the approach into McCarran Airport. You can see the light just behind the two lighted aircraft, making it's approach as well. This is a common mistake. I have lived in Las Vegas for over 35 years. I am a commercial pilot and CFI. Trust me! This is exactly what you are looking at.
