Some of the most well-known sightings include the 1978 UFO sightings in New Zealand, in which multiple witnesses reported seeing a large, triangular-shaped UFO, and the 1980 UFO sightings in Australia, in which a UFO was reportedly seen hovering near the town of Wycliffe Well. While the existence of extraterrestrial life and the reality of UFO sightings remain highly debated and controversial, Australia and Oceania continue to be a location of interest for UFO researchers and enthusiasts.
