There have been several reported UFO sightings in the Lake Michigan area over the years. Some people have claimed to see strange lights or other unexplained phenomena in the skies over the lake, while others have reported seeing unidentified objects in the water. In April 2012, a group of pilots reported seeing a “huge cylindrical object” hovering over the lake, and in September of the same year, a passenger on a commercial airline flight reported seeing a “silver, disc-shaped” UFO near the lake. As with all UFO sightings, it is difficult to determine the true nature of these events without solid evidence.
