A nationwide radio travel broadcaster has shown up indicating she noticed something mysterious in the sky in Cottered the day after a BBC reporter noticed an object.
On August 4, 2011, the day after sports reporter Mike Sewell shared with Radio Five Live listeners regarding his experience, Heart Radio’s Joanne Webb, who resides outside Cottered, imparted her experience on presenter Jamie Theakson’s breakfast program.
Talking about an event that took place at 4 in the morning on her route to work, the 35-year-old stated that couple of weeks back she noticed this ball of light, it was vibrant white and until lately she believed it was a shooting star. However it was very low and it was like somebody fired a firework entirely horizontally in front of her vehicle and afterward it simply vanished.
She added her home was on the flightpath to Luton and working in the back of her residence in Buttermilk Farm where a crane is setting up an anaerobic digester may possibly have been the reason of the unusual phenomena.
Host Jamie questioned if she had been drinking alcohol. Joanne told the Mercury that all her co-workers have been drinking the mickey and believe she made this up for the influence of alcohol. She believes only her mother is convinced on the story but affirms that what she witnessed was very strange.
The mother-of-one mentioned the sighting on a UK UFO website and has had a number of responses coming from individuals who have witnessed the same things in the place.
And amazingly, she came across something quite identical to what she had witnessed a few weeks previously the day after she exposed her original sighting.
She mentioned that she was driving on the A10 towards London on the route to work where there are just lands on the both sides of the street when she noticed something on its way towards her extremely quick. It was becoming to the point where she began to brake and then it just gone away at about tree level. The woman depicted that she was really shaking at that very moment. She added that there is possibly a reasonable reason for it, perhaps the military are conducting some testing but she sit on the fence with these things.
Usually, the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) specialized UFO hotline answer-phone support and e-mail address dealt with these kinds of stories but was shut down on December 1, 2009.
The MOD informed the Mercury that it provides no thoughts and opinions on the extra-terrestrial existence.
However, in more than 50 years, no UFO account has exposed any proof of a possible danger to the United Kingdom. The MOD has no particular capacity for determining the nature of such sightings. There is no defense gain in such exploration and it would be an improper utilization of defense resources. Furthermore, MOD explained that responding to a reported UFO sighting diverts MOD resources from duties that are important to defense. Accordingly, in order to carry out best utilization of defense resources, MOD will no longer respond to declared UFO sightings or take a look at them.
However, the MOD’s program of issuing departmental files on UFOs concerns to the National Archive will continue. The current set of files to be issued to National Archive was being issued on August 11, 2011.
On the other hand, Radio Five Live sports reporter Mike Sewell’s statement of a UFO sighting over Cottered as he drove towards Stanstead Airport has gotten worldwide coverage.
The Mercury has been reached by UFO researchers across the UK as they attempt to piece collectively what Mike observed that morning.
One of them is Bournemouth-based Dave Haith, who has been studying the phenomena for over 40 years. He said that many individuals witness things but if it’s claimed by Joe Bloggs in his farmer’s field it will not create a line in the papers, but a sports reporter saying something about UFO sighting, it can gain support in the view of the public.
Dave stressed that this certain sighting has been taken up simply because he is somebody that’s not seen as a nutcase.
The ex-reporter added the path has gone cold on this situation since no-one else has shown up from that night to confirm Mike’s statements and there was no picture taken.
