In a tranquil farming town named Covina, nestled on the outskirts of Los Angeles in 1963, the unimaginable happened. Seventeen-year-old Linda Porter’s life took an eerie turn one night, propelling her to the center of one of the most mysterious alien abduction stories of the era.
Linda recalled waking up aboard an unfamiliar spacecraft, surrounded by blinding lights and sounds she had never encountered before. Guided by a small gray creature, she was led into a room where she met another being: an almost eight-foot-tall figure resembling a praying mantis. This wasn’t the typical “gray alien” story we’ve often heard of in pop culture.
What sets Linda’s story apart is its timeline. The incident predates the popularization of the alien abduction narrative, adding a layer of credibility to her account. Over the years, there have been numerous accounts of individuals claiming to have been abducted by gray aliens, but Linda’s tale also introduces the world to the much less common praying mantis alien figure. Linda spoke of witnessing humans in a form of suspended animation, encased within cylinders, raising questions about the extraterrestrials’ role in studying the human spirit and possibly even the cycle of reincarnation.
